Engine Test

On our Engine Test Bench we determine data regarding performance, engine and emission.

The test benches are certified, so that homologation testing, regarding engine performance, exhaust and consumption behaviour for the assignation of the General Certification for vehicles (ABE) can be accomplished.

Tests performed on the Engine Test Benches serve the component and characteristic map optimization.

With the help of Asynchronous-E-Machines both braking and dragging power of the engine can be determined. The engines are equipped with most diverse measuring points and the measured values are stored during the test and subsequently analyzed.

Fuel, induction air and cooling liquid can be conditioned regarding pressure and temperature. Engine specifications can be read out and stored from the control unit as well as varied in reverse by the automation system.

Further important measured variables are the engine emissions and the combustion pressure (combustion noise and thermo dynamic optimization).
