ISUZU MOTORS Germany GmbH, located in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg is the European research and development center of ISUZU Motors Ltd.
Our main task at IMG is the application, testing and development of diesel engines.
Additionally we guarantee the observation of European norms. We are committed to using our expertise and innovation to assure optimal adaptation and further development of “state of the art” Isuzu diesel engines for our European customers. We understand and meet current and future guidelines with reference to environmental and quality matters.
We focus on the principle of sustainability and take social responsibility for our employees and the society. Active environmental protection is equally important as the permanent efficiency of our economical actions. These are the premises for our sustainable success on the market.
It is our aim to develop low consumption diesel engines that meet legislative requirements as well as contribute to maximum driving pleasure.
Our aim is the continuous improvement and optimization of diesel engine parameters by using advanced test benches and applications. Thereby we find the best possible combination of high performance and engine torque with low fuel consumption. Simultaneously we meet the legal requirements for applicable European standards.
In order to assure the compliance of legal standards during the entire engine service life we consider aging effects and manufacturing tolerances.
We test our vehicles under extreme climatic conditions on effects of heat, cold or altitude to optimally adapt them to our customer's needs.
Thereby we are challenged by high type and model varieties as well as shortened development periods and production cycles.
Advantages of the diesel engine compared to gasoline are favorable combustion efficiency resulting in lower specific fuel consumption. Moreover emissions from hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide are lower. Due to modern high performance engines with efficient injection technology we treat our environment with care. Diesel engines are characterized by higher reliability, easier fuel production and long endurance.
Despite the macroeconomic slowdown the demand for diesel engines constantly increases in 2004.
